- Pee-Wee Medium
Level 1 the objectives of this level are to build on the basic swimming skills learned in the previous level and gives children further success with fundamental swimming skills performed to a slightly more advanced degree than of Beginner. Most skills in this level are performed with assistance. This level marks the beginning of independent swimming locomotion skills. Children continue to explore using simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back to gain more proficiency for further strokes. This level also adds to the self-help and basic rescue skills introduced in the beginner levels.
- Pee-Wee Advance
The objective of this level is to build on all the skills learn in the previous levels by providing additional guided practice of basic swimming skills at slightly more proficient performance levels and greater distances and times. Skills in this level are performed independently. Children improve coordination of combined simultaneous arm and leg actions and alternating arm and leg actions. Additional safety skills and improve comprehension of previous knowledge.
