CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Aqua aerobics:
Jump right in – the water’s great! THE COMPLEX’s popular water exercise classes focus on both cardiovascular and strength benefits. Whether you’re trying to maintain your current level of fitness or reach a new level, the added benefit of training in water makes our aqua workouts safe and fun without impact to the joints. Even people who suffer from arthritis may want to give these classes a try!
Boxing:
Bring out your inner boxer with this fusion of boxing basics and cardio drills. Kick and punch your way to a stronger body! Punch and kick your way through the latest fitness trend. This innovative workout utilizes new moves from boxing; these classes bring your cardiovascular workout to new heights
Cardio abs:
It’s a personal-trainer inspired core workout focusing in on the torso and sling muscles that connect the upper body to the lower body. It’s great for tightening and toning the tummy and butt, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. Highly trained instructors will explain the science behind each exercise and motivate you to train harder for best results.
Cardio blast:
Designed to serve as a sampler of our most popular aerobic class formats, Aerobics 101 builds confidence while grounding you in aerobics fundamentals that you can apply to other classes. The workout consists of step, kickboxing, basic movement patterns, and strength exercises. This class is suitable for all experience levels. Beginners are welcome!
Dancer stretch:
Develop strength and flexibility, improve muscle tone, posture, coordination, body alignment, and relieve stress with conditioning exercises, gentle stretching and strengthening techniques. Elements of ballet and jazz may be incorporated into the class such as isolation exercises and warm ups.
Instant abs:
This isn’t your normal sit-up routine! Designed to target your torso working all aspects of the abs and back, sculpting your abs into shape and strengthening your core, which is the key to your overall strength. If you are new to abdominal training, some of the exercises will be challenging, so make sure you pace yourself and modify as needed.
Samurai sword club:
A sword demands the utmost respect from its wielder, lest it grow dull from constantly repeating. During samurai classes, students begin their training by learning the feel of a wooden practice sword, which is curved to imitate the blade of a traditional Japanese
Step-N-Sculpt:
Step-N-Sculpt consists of choreographed step patterns. You’ll challenge your mind and body as you burn calories. The intensity of your workout will be determined by the speed, travel, and execution of your movements. We recommend this class for anyone who has at least some group class experience. Turn your training schedule into a “group effort” with this class.
Total yoga:
A more advanced energetic flowing sequence of postures and poses. Breathing techniques move participants rapidly from one pose to another. Classes focus on body weight bearing exercises, torso stability and intermediate balance.
Yoga:
Designed to enhance vitality and a sense of well being, this Yoga workout will help participants gain improved flexibility, balance, strength and posture. The Yoga workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm.
ZUMBA:
Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.
